I've been using and deploying ISA for a long time now, in many different environments. I finally came across a "weird setup". On the development LAN (ISA 2000 server on Win 2000 Server), a PC with the firewall client can play Neverwinter Nights. All required UDP ports are open and the client can playthe game fine. A Mac (OS X.3)was added to the LAN and can act as a SOCKS v4 client for SSH and other TCP applications - but he can't connect to Neverwinter (Gamespy) servers.
I wonder if there is a known deficiency with UDP (what the game requires) and SOCKS v4, if things would be remedied by SOCKS v5, etc. After checking out docs at http://www.jeffseaman.com/project/socks.html , I am still not sure.
TIA for any $.02

Aha.
One thing that SOCKS 5 provides is UDP, which is required for the client app. I just picked apart the DLL source from the SDK, but I don't have the right environment to compile it.
Does anyone have the DLL out there?
And is SOCKS5 provided by default in ISA 2004?
Thanks.
