I have an internal SQL server to be accessed by a webserver in a 3 homed DMZ with public addresses and ROUTE relation between internal and perimeter networks. I've setup an access rule using the SQL server protocol port 1433 but it cannot be accessed by ODBC. Earlier i used NAT and i could connect using a publishing rule.

Hi Fabrizio,

An access rule with Route will work fine.

What rule is denying the connection?

Sounds like a name resolution issue.

HTH,
Tom

Thomas i don't know how but suddenly it started working, i'm now fighting with other issues. In fact it sounded strange to me when it wasn't working since any other protocol was working
