I am using an application that connects to an external address on port 2007. Whenever I try to use this app, the firewall client picks it up and tries to send it through the ISA server. Is there a way to stop the firewall client from capturing traffic on this port other than disabling the client? Thanks for any help.

Hi Wiseman,

The firewall client software will intercept all TCP and UDP requests. Just right click on the Firewall client icon in the system tray and disable. Can't get much easier than that

Thanks for the reply, but is there another way to do this without disabling the client? My users have other apps such as CuteFTP that use the client and its to hard for them to disable and enable the client everytime they need to use this app Can I send CuteFTP through ISA without using the client? If so, do you know the settings for CuteFTP? Thanks again for your help.

Hi Wiseman,

The Firewall client will intercept all outbound requests that are made to clients not on the LAT. You can configure a locallat.txt file for the IP addresses of external clients that you want to bypass the Firewall client.

But, disabling the Firewall client is not rocket science. If they can use a key to unlock the front door of their home, they can disable the Firewall Client. Laziness is not an option

Thanks for your help. I'll give the locallat.txt a try. You are correct though, laziness is not an option, its an addiction!
