Hi,

i'm having a problem with allowing access to a application on my internal lan
through ISa 2004 std
i created a server publishing rule to publish the ports needed by this application on the ip of the isa server that is connected with the dsl router
however when the hosting server on the internet tries to send data to my application isa blocks the connection saying that

A non-syn packet was dropped because it was sent by a source that does not have an established connection with the ISA Server computer

i have configured the protocols and ports correctly

any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

roy

Hi Roy,

Is the published server configured as a SecureNAT client?

A bit confusing, not sure if I follow what you are trying to say? Are you referring to the ISA's external NIC IP assignment? If you have a DSL router in front of the ISA server, you are probably doing NAT back to the ISA. You will need a Static IP assigned to the DSL router’s WAN interface and port mapping configured on the DSL router to allow the published server port traffic to be directed to  the ISA’s external IP.

If you can detail your IP setups (please mask not to jeopardize security)  (DSL Router – ISA server (External and Internal NIC) – published server) that would help.

Are you publishing server that requires multiple protocols?

Hi,

thanks for replying
the router in front of the isa is setup to forward everything to the isa
today we 'fixed' the problem with this ftp program
i re-enabled the ftp access filter
enabled the firewall client on the server on my lan
using the default sbs ftp rules we are now able to up/download files to our hosting server using any ftp program but this one
it used to work on isa 2000
this program is also running on the isa server itself, it functions here
but it's not running from my lan

best regards,

roy
