Hi. I went through the tutorial on Tom's "Configuring the SMTP Message Screener" and I'm stuck at "Configuring the Internal IIS 5.0 SMTP Server" part. The part I'm afraid of are the rules. What rules should I setup? We already have our ISA Server running for a few months now without any problems with our Exchange 5.5 Server, and we are not publishing any servers at all. So, if I were to publish our IIS 5.0 SMTP Server to receive external e-mails, would I cause problems?

Hi X,

The tutorial is geared toward screening incoming mail. If you're not publishing any servers right now, then it doesn't look like you're receiving incoming SMTP mail to your exchange server. The tutorial doesn't cover any issues related to outgoing mail.

Well, actually Tom, we do receive external SMTP e-mails and have been ever since we have Proxy 2.0. Now that we have toasted Proxy 2 and running ISA Server, it still work. So what is going on, would you know? There is no any sort of publishing at all. Pls advise, thanks.
