Microsoft says 300MhzPII minimum. I have ALR dual 100MHz P1. Will this work for network of 50 PC's? If we can't use it for the ISA part of back office, where could we use it? We do have E2k running but not a lot of traffic on it. Our hookups to the net will be through an ISDN and a DSL line. Will ISA handle both of them or will we have to drop one of the services or just leave it outside the firewall? Thanks for any help. Charlie.

Hi Ckuchar, The processor speed is probably not going to be an issue for you, given the small network size that you plan to implement it on. However, processing requirements go up based on the number of packets/sec the ISA Server has to process, and how many rules it needs to apply to those packets. If you have a relatively simple rules configuration, it shouldn't be a serious issue. More important is that you put a generous amount of RAM in the system. I've found that 384 MBs to be a sweet spot for small installation such as yours. You can use the multiple interfaces and assign IP addresses to them if you're interested in server publishing, but from what I understand, you can't 'load balance' or otherwise assign outbound requests to one or the other.
