Hi, I know since rainconnect no longer is available there seems to be no software solution for load balancing two ISP connections on an ISA Server. However I was wondering if it would be possible to set up a network monitor or something similar to monitor the main connection for outages, and if the connection goes down, re-route all the internet traffic through the secondary connection? I was thinking of having 3 network cards in my ISA machine run this solution. Is this possible? If anyone has something similar setup or has an idea they could provide I would be very appreciative. Regards Thomo

Hi, Why not install a Router that supports multiple gateways ( ISP ) in front of ISA Server. HTH, Tarek

Hey, Thanks for the reply. The existing network setup does have a hardware solution in place, but it is built in to the switch which all computers connect to. The reason I am setting up the ISA server is more for a web cache than anything else (will add more functionality eventually), but I need it to sit the other side of the switch so that it can cache all web traffic without having to alter the internet settings of any of the client machines to use a proxy server. I know ISA Server is overkill for this solution, but we already had the software and I have used it in larger organisations before so it is easy enough to setup. I am just not sure if I write a script to change the default gateway if connectivity is lost on the main connection, or if there is another way of setting this up on my network. The network has two internet connections coming in to two seperate switches. The network is then split over two Linksys RV016 switches, with each having load balancing built into the switch for both connections. I am only interested in having the ISA server in front of half of the network. If someone can see an easier way to do this I am open to suggestions :-) Thanks for your time

Hi, Hopefully this feature would be available with ISA Server 2008.
