Hi Blind, Don't configure the FTP clients to use the ISA Server. Just make them SecureNAT clients and allow outbound FTP. Make sure the FTP Access application filter is enabled. HTH, Tom ------------------ http://www.isaserver.org/shinder/ Get It Here!

Thank you very much Tom But I still cant get it to work Here is what i did i have opened all ip packet filters, protocol rules and site and content rules. On the client i made the default gateway the isaservers ip. So it should work right? If i install the firewall client software it works fine. Do you have an idea on what im doing wrong, Im pretty new ISA server, so i could be a small thing. thanks

I have the same issue. My snat clients cant use ftp clients(ws-ftp). Installing the firewall client allows them to work. I've configured the clients as stated in this topice. Has anyone an idea why this is so?

Hey guys, I haven't tested WS-FTP without the Firewall client. I don't use WS-FTP, but my wife does, and she never had any problems with it and the Firewall client. I don't have any problems with SecureNAT and the command line FTP client, so I would assume that WS-FTP should work the same in PORT mode as the command line FTP client. HI blind1 if you haveing Troubles using WS_FTP and IE FTP works without problems than your passive FTP Works but normal FTP drops... be sure to have static Filters for 20/21 inbound TCP on your Firewall. Greetz Nuddi
