Here's the deal:
I'm trying to setup a streaming media server, and publishing it to the outside world. My server sits on the internal network, behing the ISA 2004 firewall. I can access my web site from the external network, no problem. When I try to access any kind of streaming media file, either by doing
mms://<website>/MediaFile or http://<website>/mediafile.htm
I get nothing. When I try to connect via the first method, I get a message that tells me that it cannot find the content. When I try to connect via the second method, it says that it is searching for the content, but then just stops. I can connect to the content either way from the internal network.
I have published the MMS Server, PNM Server, and RTSP Server Protocols, using the standard ports. I don't know what else to do.....maybe I'm just going nuts after hours of trying to find a solution on the net and slamming my head against the wall, so I would GREATLY appreciate any help that anyone could offer.
Thanks, Joe

Hi Joe,
Is the media server a SecureNAT client?
Thanks! Tom

I recently had a similar problem on my ISA Server 2004, where my clients was unable to recieve certain external streamed content.
My ISA Server had installed a Panda Antivirus, and this anti-virus had installed a web-filter that had to be disabled to allow that particular content to be streamed.
So if you have installed an anti-virus. Try examining if it has installed web-filters that prevents the content from being streamed.

All right, first off, thanks to everyone for helping me out, I really appreciate it. I stepped away from this project for a while, due to some other more important projects, but now I'm back at it again.
A little recap if you will:
My web server is also my windows media server.
External users have no problems accessing any web pages that are internal.
Web users can get to the web page for the streaming media content.
It says that it connects, locating media, then ready with no media.
I've openned inbound protocols on my ISA 2004 server for: MMS Server, RTSP Server, and All Outbound access is enabled from internal to external.
Internally, there are no problems accessing content when using the following format:
http://myserver/myfile.htm or mms://myserver/myfile
I've tried everything I can think of, I've looked everywhere I can think of, and now, my brain is officially fried.
TOM:
You had asked me if my server was a secure NAT Client? I am assuming that you mean is it running the Firewall client? Then yes, otherwise, please clarify.
Sorry if I sound frustrated. I think it has something to do with my ISA Server, and it not allowing something. Maybe there is an inbound port that I am missing?
Thanks for ANY assitance, Joe D
