weird issue.

We have a job setup to copy the log files off of ISA to another server. This happens daily. Regularly this share seams to lose permitions. Now the share it self never changes but the permitions on the folder seams to reset itselt.

This has happend now 8 times on 2 diffrent servers... IT will work for a couple days then bam access deniend...

Anyone have any ideas?

New information

Found that it looses its folder permitions when I restarted teh ISA Server Control service (Which has dependencys on Microsoft Firewall/ISA Server Job Scheduler/ISA Storage)

I know that by stopping the firewall and the ISA Server storage services themselves does not reset the permitions, but when I stop the Server control Service it does.

Are you changing the ACLs on the folders to some other value and then ISA is resetting them back to their normal state? ISA periodically refreshes the permissions on the directories that are relevant to its operation, but not other directories.

Yes that is what seams to be happening, its the ISAlogs folder.

Anyway to prevent this?

Not that I'm aware of - the only thing I can think of is to copy the files to a working directory (like a ROBOCOPY Scheduled Task) and then copy from that directory to its ultimate destination.
