I have read all the FTP Posts, but cannot find any that address my problem -

ISA server 2004 on a Windows 2003 Machine (joined to Domain, but not a DC).

Network Setup -

DSL Router
10.0.0.1

Ext ISA NIC
10.0.0.5
255.255.255.0
(GTWY)10.0.0.1
(DNS) ISP

Int ISA NIC
192.168.1.249
255.255.255.0
No GTWY
DNS - Int DNS Server (win2k3)

FTP Server (also DNS Server)
192.168.1.200
255.255.255.0
(GTWY) 192.168.0.1
(DNS)192.168.1.200

FTP Server software is WarFTPD (1.7?)

My DSL is 1500/890
User can get 90k downloads from my HTTP Server
But at best, 60k from my FTP
Best Speeds seem to come from using the FQDN and PASV mode.

I have Tried FW Client on/off on the server, FTP App Filter on/off (ISA Server)

ISA Server Publish rule
Allow | FTP Server | External | 192.168.0.1.200

Interesting Side Note-
With No Firewall (DSL Router Only), I get the same problem.

With ISA Server 2003 Machine, FTP Downlaods are 85-90k (I cannot see any difference between the 2003 and 2004 Server rules "[Frown]"

Also, with 2 downloads at the same time, the total speeds come ut to be above 90.

Corrections, sorry -

Gateway of FTP server is 192.168.1.249

ISA Server 2000, not 2003 (for the Server that allowed the fast downloads).

Well, I still have no solution, so I am back to my ISA 2000 Server.
I am now getting very fast FTP Server, but I wish I knew why [Frown]

i am having the same problem.. if i connect from work to my ftp ftp server, which is published from behind the isa server 2004. i dont get the full speed of my dsl line (4mb). but if i was behind the firewall (secure Nat) and connect to my works ftp, i max my line?

what can be the problem???
