Hello All

We had number of issues, one of them where users suddenly get authentication prompts when accessing the internet. We were running on a single network card and i decided to team the nics. The following morning users started experiencing slow internet connection, so i removed the teaming and put the box back to 1 nic, this didn’t solve the problem.

When checking logs the following error appears....

The connectivity verifier "Server01" reported an error when trying to connect to Server01.
Reason: The request has timed out.

The above error appears in ISA logs and system event logs every 10 minutes. The above server is our main DC.

I have reverted clients back to the old proxy and all works well for now. I need to get ISA up again, any ideas what could cause this error?

Problem now sorted.
After playing around with it i decided to move the drives to a new server, however this still didn’t resolve the issue and i was still receiving random time outs and the same error.

Then i checked my NIC configuration (Duplex) this was set 100MB Full, changed this to 1GB full and the error disappeared. The switch this box is going through is a Gig switch, however it still doesnt explain why it started performing better with this change.
