Server settings: HP DL320 G4 Windows 2003 SP2 ISA 2006 Trend Micro AV GFI Web Monitor Using MSDE This server is setup as a proxy only single NIC. The issue that I’m having is that web pages take twice as long to load then if I just go via the firewall. As this is the first ISA server that I have installed I reloaded it thinking it may have been something I did but I still get the same issue. I have looked for this HP Virus Throttle and I can’t fine it. I have changed the following settings EnableTCPA dword:00000000, EnableRSS dword:00000000, EnableTCPChimney dword:00000000 and DisableTaksoffload dword:00000001. This has not fixed the issue and I’m stuck and I just need some help.

Hi, maybe is because of your GFI web monitor. Try to disable it and see what happens. How´s your NIC configured? Regards, Paulo Oliveira.

Hello Paul.oliveria, It is not a GFI issue it was happening before i installed it. My NIC is configured IP: 192.168.75.32 SUB: 255.255.255.0 GW: 192.168.75.50 ===== This is the ip address of my Firewall which i have set for the isa to have http out DNS: 192.168.75.12 === This is the internal AD server, it also houses DNS DNS is allowed out form all computers on the network. I uses a single network template in ISA, i have read on a website about disabling the web filters not sure if this will work?

Hi, quote:
DNS: 192.168.75.12 === This is the internal AD server, it also houses DNS DNS is allowed out form all computers on the network. The DNS should be allowed only for the DNS server and not for all computers on your network. Configure your DNS server to forward requests to an external DNS server. quote:

Hello, I have changed the DNS rule on the firewall and this didn't improve the speed, i was playing around and i disabled all the filters App and Web and the speed stayed the same. BUT this got me thinking about what else happens as data is being sent via the isa server....... Logging. I switched off the web proxy logging and the speed jumped up not as quick as before i went to the ISA server but not far from it. So it looks like logging may be the issue. Logging is done vis MSDE, would switching to file work better? Just on the cache item, i have enabled a drive to be a cache drive is there anything else i sould set? Regards Shaun Harper

Hi, it seems your ISA is overloaded, use the windows monitoring tools to check it. There´s nothing extra to do after enabling cache, but create cache rules, content download... Regards, Paulo Oliveira.
