I'm running the app in a small network with 2 clients and a server behind the ISA. The ISA Server itself is a 200Mhz machien with 128MB of RAM; running Windows Server 2003 EE
Having not dealt with publishing intenal resources yet, the overall web performance of the system is remarkably slower than ISA 2000 was, using the same configuration and network. I'm using a single front-end network design with unrestricted access from the clients within it.
Does anyone else have similar observations, or perhapse suggestions for what I may be doing wrong.

Hi ,
Enable caching on the ISA server. It will increase overall performance REALLY much especially if you have a slow connection.
200 Mhz and 128 MB of RAM will install windows 2003 but in order to be able to run it correctly you need a server of AT LEAST 1 ghz with 512 mb of memory and Serial ATA or scsi disks.
Try to run network monitor to see what bottlenecks are appearing on your server and correct them before installing ISA server. I suggest replacing the server would be the best option for you if you seriously want to use that machine.
Kind regards, Lex Penrose

Thanks for the reply. I just previously used SecureNAT for webpage viewing. I installed the firewall client, and set web proxy settings and everything worked just fine and quick as ever.
I'm sure I'd love to run it on a 1Ghz machine, but I can't. For my 5 computers at home in my test lab, my 200Mhz runs just fine.
Only problem is, my ISA 2004 install is dropping a lot of packets now and then. It doesn't really seem stable enough to run on a regular basis.
