Settings - ISA Server 2004 installed onto Windows 2003 Server - SmartFilter 4.0.1.00 from SecureComputing.com installed.

The problem I experienced was after installing the SmartFilter - the plugin simply did not work - there were multiple problems which I won't list.

Event ID: 14146
ISA Server failed to load Web Filter DLL C:\Program Files\Microsoft ISA Server\\SmartFilter.dll

The FIX (from securecomputing) - in the SYSTEM32 folder - there are two files MSVCR71.DLL and MFC71.DLL - you need to right-click, go to Properties, click the Security Tab, click the Add button, click the Advanced button, then the Find Now button, select NETWORK SERVICE, click OK, then check FULL CONTROL, then OK.

You should verify these two files names (with securecomputing) MSVCR71.DLL and MFC71.DLL - at the time I had trouble hearing the support person I was talking to.
