Hi, I think this is more an internal network problem rathen than an ISA question. I recently tried to publish a FTP site from my internal NET. FTP site is configured for anonymous access. The home directory of the FTP site resides on onother machine from internal network (shared folder/auth. users: full access/NTFS permissions set). My internal network is member of a domain. I use a domain service account for translating the anonymous access to my FTP. In the same time, this service account is present in the shared folder NTFS ACL and also the home dir. from FTP properties is setup to connect as same service account. I've tested the connectivity by launching a IE process under service account's credentials and accessing the share. Everything works fine. Now, the problem is that when I try to connect to my FTP (using ftp.exe), I got the logon prompt, typed "anonymous" and log on successfully. I see my FTP's welcome banner, but when I try to enumerate home folder contents with dir or ls, I got this error message: ftp: bind: unknown error During this time, the FTP session can be seen in both ISA's live logging and IIS sessions window. The only command that is working is "close", after which, my custom "Bye" message shows up. I've tried different authentication setups such as using local accounts on both machine, giving the domain service account "log on as a process" and "log on as a batch job" access rights from local GPO of the machine which hosts the share, but no luck. When I tried the above mentioned setups, I can log on to FTP, but again when trying to retrieve home folder contents the FTP session freezes after this message: 200 PORT command successful 150 Opening ASCII mode data connection for /bin/ls. After 120 seconds, the session expires (that's the way I've set it up). Thanks for reading this. Any help is appreciated. Cheers, Dragos

FTP is working fine from internal (using server's IP). The problem only appears when connecting from external. The error is: ftp: get :Connection reset by peer This is not the connection timeout of my FTP machine, because this message appears very fast (max 10 seconds) Also if I try to navigate to a dir (knowing the dir name) and I type cd dirname I get: 250 CDW command successful If I try to create a directory after navigation to a folder which has the proper NTFS rights, I get 257 "dirname" directory created and the dir indeed apears under my FTP root. bottom line: From EXTERNAL, I cannot list folders, get or put files. From INTERNAL everything is working fine. Help? Please? Thanks! Dragos
