Hi,

I have a web server in a DMZ that access a SQL Server in the LAN.
Imagine that the web server is compromised.
It would be nice that even if the hackers know all my SQL server passwords were unable to enter my SQL Server!
Is it possible in ISA to say that only USERx could access SQL Server?

Hi Claude,

Its possible, if you create an Access Rule controlling access to the SQL server and use the Firewall client on the server. However, you'll need a route relationship between the DMZ and the SQL server network, and you'll need to configure the service to use a pre-configured account to auth to the ISA firewall. Of course, make sure the ISA firewall is joined to the domain for the best level of security.

HTH,
Tom
