Hi all,
Question has 2 parts.
1) What is the relationship between Win2k3 RRAS and ISA2k4 RRAS. If ISA2k4 is running do we even need regular RRAS at all since ISA2k4 performs NAT, routing and VPN.
2) In the event that ISA2k4 is doing all the routing, how do we define a static route.
I've got a wireless network connected to my internal net that requires a static route from the ISA machine. I haven't found anywhere to define the wireless router interface, so I've been running regular RRAS as well. I'm sure there are conflicts.
Thanks, Andrew [ February 19, 2004, 06:31 AM: Message edited by: Andrew ]

I actually figured out the static route part by using route add...so used to using RRAS, i forgot about that...
Duh!

I am very happy that I read this post. I'll try adding static routes via the route add command rather then using RRAS static routes. This might have been my problem all along, maybe ISA Server 2004 just totally ignores static routes in RRAS. I'll report back tomorrow when I get into the office and test it.

Yeah, but isn't it "route add" command only puts temperary entry in the routing table? Once you reboot the machine, the static entry from "route add" command is clear?

Yes. You have to add /p at the end of the statment.
Example:
Route add x.x.x.x mask y.y.y.y z.z.z.z /p
This /p meas "permanent"
When you reboot the machine, this route remains loaded into the routing table.
