Hi

I remark stranege problem with IE7.I have ISA 2006st as backend web proxy with 2 NIC. Users in my enviroment use IE7 with proxy setup for my ISA. When they surf the web and opening website after some time spent in surfing IE7 start to behave strange. First it become too slow with opening of web sites then they get message "connection timeout" from my ISA! When i shutdown IE7 and start him again i starts to work perfectly again!
So i m wondering is this could be some IE7 bug or something?

Check you DNS is resoveing on ISA server and also Disable Flood Mitigation Settings and then check your browsing.
If its working you need to tune your Mitigation settings.

ISA SERVER ---> Configuration ---> General ---> Configure Flood Mitigation Settings.

Hi,

I have the same problem. Web proxy clients (use proxy server enabled in IE) hang after they visited some websites within the same browser session using tabs. When I disable the use of a proxy server the client acts like a secureNAT client and the problem won't come back. But when I use secureNAT i'm unable to use windows authentication for rules within ISA. When I use a sniffer to momitor the traffic I don't see any traffic from the client to ISA. When I launch a new browser I'm able to open websites until it hangs again.

I've allready disabled Mitigation but that won't resolve the problem.

So:
Web proxy clients have these problems.
SecureNAT client have no problems.

Same problem here (ISA 2006SE,W2K3SE_SP2, IE7, (Firewall&Webproxy clients).
No more communication is seen between ISA<>Client.

Sometimes restarting IE7 won't help.
Repair LAN connection is the only option.

Hello guys,

The problems you described are supposed to be due to authentication issues, so
1. Be sure that your domain controllers work properly
2. Make sure your ISA server can resolve DC names. If ISA server has a DNS server installed on it, configure forwarders to domain DNS zone holders
3. Check if ISA doesn't block traffic from DCs using ISA Logging
