Cannot play streaming media with ISA server 2004 SP1 on Windows Server 2003 through Internet.
ISA server is setup as webproxy only with one NIC

Cannot play for ex. Movies from Quicktime.com or webradio, not even if it start an external player on a terminal server where the user login.

A general policy exist for Internet access Internal -> External Domain/Internet Users for logging purposes

What can this be ?, some people want to shut this down, but i want it "[Smile]"

Hi Stefan,

Get a second NIC in that ISA firewall and benefit form the ISA firewall's full protection and feature set. You'll get full protocol support *and* protect yourself from the gaping security holes left open by your "hardware" firewalls.

HTH,
Tom

I am having a heck of a time with Real Player.

I dont want to shut off the authentication globally as I need that information for logging purposes.

I have seen that Real Player can use a socks proxy whereas you can input information as to the user name and password.  Does anyone know if this can be used to allow the Real Player content, but leave authentication intact? I have tried to enable this to no avail, but perhaps someone else knows what to do here.  It really seems like the Real Player needs to add fields for HTTP/HTTPS authenticated proxy.

I have also seen that it will use the IE proxy settings, but when I enable this, no Real Player content is displayed.

Everything else works great though ISA 2004, just RealPlayer is what I am personally struggling with.

Thanks,

Nick
