Switch from File logging to MSDE

Upon initial setup, I had my ISA server configured to log to the MSDE.

Shortly thereafter I switched it text-based logging.

Now, months later, I'm trying to switch back to MSDE logging and it won't go.

Summarily, when I "apply" changes, the Firewall service will not restart. The MSSQL$MSFW service will start then stop immediately.

Everything works fine if I switch back to text logging.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? If not, what additional information can I provide?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Advanced Logging using the ISA firewall installation routine in the Add/Remove Programs applet.
