Hello, I just tried to install TMG on a server and it is now causing a Blue Screen of Death. The server is setup with the following: 2 Intel/PRO 1000 NICs 2 D-Link DGE-530T Nics I have a VM running in Hyper-V that is attached to one of the D-Link NICs, 1 of the Intel NICs is the Internet connection and the other is for the internal network. The last D-Link is the perimeter network. After TMG finished installing, the BSOD came up and every time that Windows loads it causes the Blue Screen. I am right now unable to determine the cause of the BSOD as disabling drivers has not worked yet. Could anyone give me some insight into this. Thanks P.S. Ok, I did some more troubleshooting and have found that the D-Link card for the VM machine is causing this. When TMG bound itself to the VM switch it causes a BSOD. Unable to determine what Stop Error I am getting as it goes by so quick. Is there some way for me to unbind this from that network adapter? As I would like to have my VM running on that machine.

Hi Tom, I am not running TMG in a VM. I am trying to run a VM on that host machine though. This would be for the perimeter side of the equation also. I would have TMG on the host and also running on the VM. Is that possible? Or can you run a VM on the host if you are running TMG?

Hi Mike, You should be able to run VMs on the TMG host. What I don't understand is how the host machine can be bound to a VM switch, since that's only available to the VMs. Thanks! Tom

I have tried both legacy and synthetic, result is the same both ways. As long as the physical card is active, it causes a BSOD. Once I disable the physical card it works, but I lose the functionality of the VM.

Hi Tom, Yes I have access to the MS Connect site, though I do not have access to any of the Forefront TAP areas. I have tried to contact MS about access to the Forefront TAP with no success. So I guess I will be trying to figure another way around this.
