After installing SP1 my asterisk stopped working as it supposed to.

PROBLEM: oneway audio during outgoing calls (i can hear, they can't hear me)
Outgoing RTP packets are blocked by TMG.
Another issue occurance: http://www.3cx.com/forums/3cx-behing-microsoft-tmg-issue-with-one-way-outgoing-sound-16554.html

The problem is in RTP mapping functions of TMG.
Everything goes fine until asterisk says: RTP NAT: Got audio from other end. Now sending to address <another port>.
It's a moment when it sees incoming audio and switches to new RTP port.
I think TMG can't manage this and start to block "unknown UDP traffic" to the new port.

That suxx... does anybody know how to fix this?
Before installing SP1 everything was good!

Hi Berlic,
Did you call CSS about this? If it's a bug in SP1 they won't charge for the call and they'll be able to escalate a fix.

Thanks!
Tom

Thanks for reply, Tom.

I managed to fix my situation yesterday night.
I think they've tightened some filtering policy for RTP.
I played around with asterisk NAT settings for SIP trunks and it worked out.

But i assure you that it was 100% working asterisk setup before applying TMG SP1.

Great!

Anything you can share about what you did with the NAT settings? Might be helpful for the next guy.

Thanks!
Tom

There are nat settings for each SIP trunk in config.
Despite turning off nat in general config section, trunk setting makes some job (i dont know what).
TMG messes up SDP/RTP packets in it's own way so something breaks.
I've disabled nat for each SIP trunk and in general section. And this helped!

Thank God it was only one day we used expensive backup line for international calls.
