Description:
The Web Proxy filter failed to bind its socket to 192.168.1.1
port 8080. This may have been caused by another service that is
already using the same port or by a network adapter that is not functional.
To resolve this issue, restart the Microsoft Firewall service.
The error code specified in the data area of the event properties
indicates the cause of the failure.

I have MS ISA 06ST installed on a server , i have no IIS or any Program using the port 8080 , But i get this message , when i restart the server or the ISA , every thing be great , but after a few minutes the connection be dropped , no ping from any client to the ISA , or from the ISA to any IP in the Internal nor External .

I have only two publishing rules from external to internal
on port 4899 and 8291 , nothing use 8080 at all except for ISA Proxy !!
any help please ??

This usually happens when the NIC is disconnected from the network. Could be a bad NIC, bad switch port, or bad UPS.

thanx , for response . i'm gonna check these out ..
but which NIC do you mean , the External or the Internal ?
by the way 192.168.1.1 is my Internal NIC .

It would be the internal NIC that tries to bind to the Web Proxy listener on the internal interface on TCP 8080
