Is this possible using just the web proxy client or do I need to install and configure the Firewall Client? I am a bit confused with the different components of ISA.

For example, I would like the ability to be able to see "John User's" activity over the past week but do not want to have to install anything on his machine. would setting up ISA just as a web proxy fulfill this requirement?

I have seen a link on this page to a third party utility called ProxyInpector that looks great but got me wondering if ISA serve sans the firewall client is enough.

Yes,

and by the way, you can do this without any third party app, all you need is ISA 2004 or 2006 and MS Excel: http://www.elmajdal.net/isaserver/Creating_Detailed_Report_With_ISA_2006.aspx
