Hello all,

Ive just finished migrating my SBS 2003 Premium server to new hardware, using the Swing Migration method.

All is more or less well, except for some lingering problems with the Trend Micro SMB product. I remember similar problems when I last upgraded our server three years ago, but I don't remember exactly what I did to solve them.

I cannot access the SMB Dashboard. It uses an SSL tunnel on port 4343 for communications, and possibly some other strange stuff that I don't know about. I have used IST Pre to add 4343 to the allowed port range fo4 SSL tunnels. (Actually, it came over with the exported configuration from the old system.) I get a 502 Proxy Error. Connection refused(10061) from IE, and ISA monitoring shows the connection refused, and ISA logging shows the request denied by the SBS Protected Networks rule.I get the same results from both the SBS server and from a client XP workstation.

Trend Support apparently knows nothing of ISA server. Has anyone else seen this and was able to solve the problem?

Thanks,

George

hi there,

set your browser to bypass the proxy for the address of the trend server.

let me know if that works.

Problem solved!

The proxy setting for bypassing local addresses was checked, but I guess because I was using an IP address rathger than a domain name for the dashboard URL (at Trend's suggestion) it was necessary to add the IP address to the list of bypassed addresses.

Thanks!
