I'm a little lost...

We have a T-1 router which I don't have access to and the Megapath techs don't seem to understand how to configure:

Here is what I have:

xxx.xxx.11.128/28 range of public IPs

The router is configured with xxx.xxx.11.129/28

The ISA Server external interface: xxx.xxx.11.130/30

The DMZ xxx.xxx.11.132/29

The LAN 10.0.0.5

I believe ... if I understand your book correctly that the router should be configured xxx.xxx.11.129/30 and the routing table of the router should be configured to route to xxx.xxx.11.132/29?

Am I on the right track?

Hi Mike,

All the addresses on the same network ID as the LAN interface of the router will be reachable. Just assign the ISA firewall an IP address in that block, or assign all the unused addresses in that block to the external interface of the ISA firewall.

HTH,
Tom
