Hey guys, I currently have two ISA server's with two nics on them (4 total). I am using the article http://www.isaserver.org/tutorials/Configuring_Fault_Tolerance_and_Load_Balancing_for_Windows_2003_ISA_FirewallVPN_Servers.html to try and setup load balancing between them. My first server ISA1 has the IP's 192.168.100.125 (External) and 192.168.200.3 (Internal) second ISA2 has IP's 192.168.100.126 (External) and 192.168.200.4 (internal). When I set up my NLB on my ISA1, i choose the virtual address 200.5 for the loadbalancing, and add the external card. Works fine. Then when I go to connect to ISA2 to add it as a host, it says cannot find NLB on this computer. I have a rule that allows all traffic coming from ISA1 to ISA2 and viceversa. Is this OK to have? Any idea why I cannot connect to the NLB of ISA2?

hey there, your situation seemed to be the same of mine... 1- make sure that your two servers are added to "Replicate Configuration Storage servers", you can find it in the enterprise policy toolbox. if your internal NICS are configured to register their dns on the internal DNS then it is ok, otherwise add them to the host file. 2- "network Teaming" is your enemy here, if you do have, then get rid of it.... 3- it is recommended to have two dedicated NICS for replication and have thier IP addresses in the listed in "Replicate Configuration Storage servers" and added to the host file. I hope this will help. Zulu

Thanks for the advice, I reinstalled ISA with the replicate option. And I got a message saying to add the IP of both configuration storage servers to the "Replicate Configuration Storage" computer set. However, I am unable to add anything (IP's) to this set when I click Edit under Network Objects > Computer Sets.. Any idea why? EDIT: Jumped the gun, wasn't editing in Enterprise Toolbox :)
