Had RRAS set up and rocking for a demand-dial VPN connection and now needed to install ISA 04 to provide Firewall & Internet surfing. Now, my VPN routing can't connect - error message on ISA is that the VPN connection could not be established. The failure is due to error: 0xc0040021.
When I try and Connect the Demand-Dial connection on the ISA Server using RRAS, the error message is: "There are no routing enabled ports available for use by this demand dial interface."
Firewall Policy looks correct for passing PPTP traffic in and out of the ISA box.
When I upgraded, I tried to use the Migration Tool but it failed because I didn't have ISA 2000 installed so I have nothing to import. How can Microsoft screw up a simple install/upgrade like this?

Hi G,

Its working the way its suppose to.

The ISA firewall overwrites RRAS policies and management VPN connections. Whack whatever demand-dial interface you think you have in RRAS, and create the site to site VPN connection in the ISA firewall console.
