I am running into an issue where are developers are working on our web server located in our DMZ.
The publishing rule refences the IP address of the web server in the DMZ.
In short, I want to eliminate reverse caching of data behind the firewall.
I have created a do not cache rule with the external FQDN in it, but not sure if I have all of the settgins correct!
Thanks, Bbo [ September 14, 2004, 10:00 PM: Message edited by: BobW ]

Hi Bob,
Create a cache rule to prevent cached to the site *that the devs access* based on *the url the devs use* to access the site.
Then dump the old cache to test.

Did that, but the whole setup, settings etc seem a bit odd. I had the FQDN that the developers use in the URL set but it did not seem to work.
I guess the real question is How do I know if my rule is working? To monitor the firewall rules is easy (and quite nice I might add).
As always thanks for your reply, Bob

Hi Bob,
You can check the log files for the cache information. They will tell you when the content was retrieved from cache versus when its obtained from the Web site. You might need to enable that column to see it, as I don't know if its exposed by default.
