Hey, My situation is that I have two internet connections and i want to load balance (?) without having to buy any new hardware. The satelite connection comes down from the dish and connects to a switch and from there it goes to the ISA server, the VoIP router and the mail server with three different IPs. The internal network currently gets http & ftp access from the isa server via this satellite connection. Now we recently acquired a DSL connection, and i would like to have users use this connection for browsing only since the satellite connection has become overloaded. There is no option of getting an overall faster connection. When I plug the DSL connection into ISA. It works, but users complain of having very very slow access when using the mail server. How can i correct this ? Can i add a second network card to the mail server and allow users to access it internally or something ..rather than going out the DSL connection and returning back to the satellite connection. Please help ...i'm pretty new to all this. But i'm learning.

I also have that situation. I have two ADSL connections and i'd like to have failover and/or load balance on them. Did you managed to find anything for this? Any way to configure this on a Windows 2003 with Isa server? Any help is welcome.

ISA by default, in all its versions, does not support multiple gateways( multiple WAN ). to support mutiple wans, u have 2 options: 1- buy a router that supports multiple WANS and put it infront of your ISA example : CISCO 1841 2- check the script in this thread : http://forums.isaserver.org/m_260001200/tm.htm#000011

I have pretty much the same desire Currently we have a setup with 2 ISA servers (with 2004) : ISA01 is proxying over the corporate (1.5M) SDSL line, meant to host things like the Extranet, the OWA site etc. ISA02 is proxying over a secondary ADSL2 line, highly overbooked, highspeed, and cheep... but ofcause a 'little' unreliable. I was hoping to create a solution where 1 ISA 2006 server would be able to deliver all mission critical stuff and outside requests for VPN, OWA, SMTP and extranet routed through the SDSL line, and all minor important stuff like the usual browsing and downloading of users through the ADSL2 line, failing to SDSL when the ADSL line would be down. As of yet, I haven't found much that tells me this is even a viable option, so I'm hoping some of you might have an Idea? (reading this thread, I'm afraid there is little chance, and that I should still use 2 ISA servers where the server connected to ADSL is pointing to the other one to resolve websites that are failing on the fist ome. (please tell me I'm wrong, and that should be able to solve it with one server/servercluster?)
