Hello,

I've just made a fresh install of ISA 2006 Enterprise that is running well except one thing :

When I tried to monitor some activity, there was no default rule in the filter. I created my own rules but now, my 2 first rules are considered as default and I can't remove them (remove button is greyed).

Logging filter rules doesn't seems to be included in XML backup files so it's impossible to remove them manually that way. They seem to be stored with the management console because when I try to manage the server remotely, the good default rules appears. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the management console from the server manually but my unremovable rules still appears.

Do someone have a solution for me ?

Thanks!

The problem is that I've created 2 logging filter rules that I can't delete...

Hi G,

I'm still not sure how you can't delete them, as they are saved to the hard disk when you export the filter configuration to an .xml file.

I haven't found them in the XML file so I don't think Filter Rules are saved in these files.

I 'think Filter Rules are linked with the management console, not with the server, since when I manage the server from an ISA Management console that is installed on another computer, I don't see these rules but the correct default ones.

I've tried tu uninstall/reinstall the management console from the server but my wrong default/unremovable rules are still present...

Nobody knows where are Logging filter rules stored ?

Thanks!

Hi G,

While filter rules are you thinking of? Log filter or Session filter?

Thanks!
Tom
