Hi,
we use ISA 2004 and all our Servers are Windows2K3 SP1.
at our isa server is are two NICs installed, one public ip, one internal.
Services Like OWA; diffrent Websites; diffrent Protocols etc are doing well and where installed in nearly no time with no problems at all.
No i published an FTP Server ( standart ports ) but its absolutly not possible to get this thing working in passive mode, which is those days essential to get working.
when i put the serv-u server infront of our firewall, directly connected to the internet all works fine. when i move the server within our envirement and publish it via default ftp publish rule, then u can connect and upload/download but not in passive mode. i can add in serv-u port range which the serv-u should use, i added also a rule where these portrange was in/outbound free for the ftp, doesnt work at all.
what can i do, that pasv ftp works within isa 2004 envirement ?
need help asap!

I made exactly the steps like there where posted but nothing, its absolutly not possible to get some ftp server working in pasv mode with a firewall like ISA 2004.
i realy dont understand why such a "must-have" is not implemented yet.
btw, may u can move this thread to ISA 2004, thx.

Hi spouseele, what kind of information did u need exactly, ill post you anything u need. network isp cisco router has public ip x.x.x.1 isa 2004 is connected to the router and has 2 Nicīs: nic1) x.x.x.4 public ip nic2) z.z.2.254 internal ( which is our standart gw for the clients ) the dns for our ftp server points to the public ip from our isa server: ftp.domain.name -> x.x.x.4 public ip the ftp server is located on our internal net at the ip: z.z.1.2 The FTP Server is published via Server Publishing Rule with FTP Filter activated ( so that it works at all ) I added also a portrange 2000 - 2040 for inbound to the ftp server rule and give this to serv u as passive port range. what else did u need now ? thx for your help.
