Hello all.

My issue may be by design.

I have created a rule in ISA that Allows All users to access a specific URL set. Later on in the rule lists I allow all users except the "restricted" users group to access all websites.

The rules are working properly. However, if a "restricted" user is surfing to non-allowed site they are prompted for authenication. If they put in there crendentials, the system keeps prompting. If they hit cancel, the system takes to the ISA "You are not allowed" page.

I have done a search on the forums and read some in the ISA2004 book. I am kinda in a pinch and will continue to look. I am pretty sure I have something setup wrong.

The firewall is in a small office and is a dedicated box running Windows 2003 Standard SP1; ISA Server 2004 Standard SP1.

Well....

I have figured out that if I take the Proxy settings off the browser the system works fine. I am still investigating why this is happening. Most likely, its because I am still coming up to speed on ISA.

Tom you have about converted me from a Pix.

Stefaan Pouseele, your article on "Understanding the ISA 2004 Access Rule Processing" was very helpful.

If you all can shed some light on my issue. Please let me know.
