I have all my users as expected disabling the FWC in their system tray. How do I prevent users from doing this in a pure win2k environment? I can not find a gpo that would prevent them. I have found a setting to hide it in control panel but it still shows up on the system tray. Thank you, Jeremy HAll

Hi Jeremy, In the registry: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Firewall client you'll see an entry: EnableIcon Right now its value is 1. Change that to 0. You can also export and import the key; but make sure the settings on your master machine are consistent with the clients. Different OS's handle the FW client installation directory differnetly.
