When I try to add a new item to a sharepoint calendar I receive a message that the HTTP filter rejected it. I read I have to change the Normalization option in the HTTP filter of my ISA2006. But when I right-click on the blocking rule, there is no Configure HTTP option in the menu. In other rules I do see things like Configure FTP or RPC but nu HTTP. Not in any rule.

How can I edit the HTTP filter?

Hi,

this is caused by you disassociating the Web Proxy filter from the HTTP protocol. In the HTTP protocol that you have in your rule, go into the Toolbox\Protocols and in the properties of that protocol, re-associate the Web Proxy filter.

I'm often amazed how many people have inadvertently turned off proxy filtering. Seems there should be a big alert or something logged when that happens. Myself, I try to make sure our filters have warnings when they are set in impossible configurations. But it's certainly the case that no one can predict users' ingenuity at finding ways to defeat our safeguards :)
