I use SecuRemote (VPN Client) and RDP to connect to my office through my ISA Server 20004 at home..
When the firewall client is enabled this setup doesn't work. When it's disabled it works fine.

In the firewall logg I see the following when the firewall client is enabled:
RDP traffic on port 3389
Undefined IP Traffic on port 1745

The log when the Firewall Client is dissabled:
RDP traffic on port 3389
IPSec ESP traffic on port 0 (?)
IKE Client traffic on port 500

Anybody have an idea about what this can be, and why I have to disable the Firewall Client to make a VPN connection through the firewall?

Hi Morten,

I think I figured out the problem. Your firewall configuration is in reverse. Your office should have the superior firewall protection provided by the ISA firewall, and your home network should have the checkpoint server in front of it!

Anyhow, what IPSec passthrough kludge is your Securemote client using? That's another reason to have the ISA firewall at the main office -- they won't need to use CP's kludgeware VPN client. They'll be able to use a real VPN client software piece, the built-in MS VPN client. Works great, and there's no finger pointing when it doesn't work.
