When looking over my daily reports for web activity by user, I noticed the top spot goes to a user called Unknown. I know this to be the ISA server itself because it does a lot of conent download jobs over night. Why does it come up as unknown and how can I fix this?

Also, in my logs I have seen that my external IP address is making a connection to a web site as well as the client ip address. Why is this?

Thank in advance,
Anthony

Hi Anthony,

They designed it that way, and the ISA firewall is use the local host address and is not a Firewall client.

HTH,
Tom
