Hello,

We are looking to upgrade to ISA 2004 server, and will be installing it on a new server. Is it possible to add an ISA 2004 server to an existing ISA 2000 array? The reason we would like to do this is so that our existing configuration would just be replicated to the new server... but I know that there is different functionality between the two versions, and suspect that might make this not possible. Is our only option to export the configuration using ISA2Kexport, then import it once the new server is installed?

Thank you for your time,
Ashley McNolty

Hi Ashley,

All array members need to be the same version. So, when ISA 2004 EE becomes available, all array members will need to be upgraded to 2004.

Tom is it possible to have an array of ISA 2k and an array of ISA 2k4 running concurrently?

Hi Tom,

Just to make sure I'm on the same page, so we will not be able to add the ISA 2004 server to the 2000 array, and have the existing configuration be replicated to the new server, then decommission the old one?

Thanks again,
