Hello,

I have a ISA 2000 Server in DMZ and I want to upgrade it to ISA 2004. I am planning to refresh the ISA 2000 server hardware too.

What is the best practice to accomplish this without affecting the production environment?

Thanks,
Dev

Hi Dev,

Export your ISA 2000 firewall settings, and then import them into the new ISA firewall.

Just make sure your internal and external interface settings, as well as any DMZ interface settings, are correct. Then use the migration tool to bring over your firewall rules and policies over to the new ISA firewall.

HTH,
Tom
