Hi,

We are planning to upgrade our ISA 2000 to ISA 2004 version.

I would appreciate to get suggestions, advices and link-articles for the upgrade installation process.

During the isa2004 install you are given the option to export the isa2000 configuration and then import it into isa2004. It works well however in my scenario several user defined protocol rules no longer worked. I deleted those and then recreated them in isa2004. You also have to reconfigure reporting. I did this in a test environment and still haven't gotten to the point where I will upgrade the live isa2000 server I have. One issue has been accessing https sites. No issue with isa2000 but accessing the same sites through isa2004 results in poor site performance to unable to access those sites at all. I can get around it by directly accessing those sites. I have seen several other complaints of this same issue. I am considering not implementing until I see some hot fixes or sp1 for isa2004.

Thanks Longman for your time replying to my post.
I am also in the process of evaluating the upgrade to ISA2004.
As I am trying to convince myself if there is really worth to do the upgrade now or simply wait... until Microsoft release patches or a new version.
