I have a small network of about 50 computers with 3 servers. My firewall is ISA server 2004 that is NOT part of the domain. This seemed to be th "[Cool]" e way to do it at the time. After reading Tom's writings it seems that there are many reasons to have ISA 2004 as a part of the domain, and no practical reason not to. (I don't have the resources to do two firewalls, so the options are part of the domain, or seperate workgroup.)
My question is: "Can I just make the server a member of the domain, or will I need to reinstall ISA server 2004 after I do so?"

Hi James,

You can make the ISA firewall a member of the domain while the ISA firewall software is installed. I do it all the time, no problems.

HTH,
Tom
