Upgraded from ISA 2000 migration failed, internal DHCP and DNS service no longer function.

Since the import of ISA 2000 config failed I uninstalled and re-install from scratch.

This still did not allow DHCP and DNS services to function.

What rules do I need to add to the default setup to allow this box to provide DHCP and DNS services to my internal network?

Thanks,

Hi LA,

You need to create access rules to allow these protocols.

HTH,
Tom

Thanks, I figured it out.

Obviously, ISA 2004 is new to me and it is taking a while to figure out whats what.

I found a DOC on Microsoft site that addressed the DHCP use and I figured the DNS would be the same.

What threw me was the System Policy Allow DHCP and DNS Request and Reply settings. I was wondering how they differ from the rules I added.

Thank,
