Hi

How can we block uploads/downloads using MSN messenger/Yahoo/...etc
Plus

How can we stop Uploading of files to gmail as it is not using HTML form based Uploads

any idea.....any reference....

There are a number of good tutorials on this site you should look at but here is one:

You may also want to think about looking for a thrid-party app if you are really serious about stopping these applications.  Blocking them and/or keeping up with new versions/apps/sites is getting more and more difficult.

The best way to block an HTTP thing is to watch the traffic and make an HTTP filter that blocks based on a unique signature you see in the traffic.

For plain HTTP it is easy to use Wireshark or network monitor to do this.  For HTTPS you can use ClearTunnel to get inside the SSL and TrafficLog to dump it out.

ClearTunnel is a good app but be sure to verify whatever ISA antivirus software you may be using has been tested with the product before purchase.
