My IT environment consists of 2 ISA/Proxy servers, one upstreaming to another. Apart from default port (80), none other seems to go through. I have confgured everything to go through and created the a rule to match it. To me it seems that it fails to go through the upstream server. Configured firewall chaining to no avail.

My environment consists of 2 domains but I am not aware of this being a problem. Does anyone have any ideas???

Hi Cue,

Is this a back to back ISA firewall setup, where the back end ISA firewall is performing Web Proxy chaining with the upstream ISA firewall?

Thanks!
Tom

Tom,

Thanks for the reply.

Client connects to isa/proxy 1 (I think this is acting mainly as a caching server), then this directly connects to isa/proxy 2, then through f/w and then internet. Port 80 works but other apps do not. When we do a netstat we can see it going through Proxy 1, but it then tries to connect directly to the internet.

Cheers.
