Hello,

I'm runnig ISA 2004 standard on a full patched Windows 2003 server

My problem is I got some red cross and interrogation mark for uptime status of the firewall and number of sessions status....

If a try to apply a new rule I also got the following message:
"The configuration changes were saved to storage, but at least one service failed to load these changes"

In service status and controle pannel everything related to ISA is running (green cross or started)

Many thanks in advance for some help to solve this issue :-)

Our company deploys ISA Server regularly. The issues described in this topic occurred on two of our live deployments. We resolved the issue following this procedure:

1. Open MMC on an ISA Server Computer
2. Click File and then Add/Remove Snap-in; Click Add
3. Select Group Policy Object Editor; Click Add
4. In the dialog that pops up leave Group Policy Object as Local Computer and press Finish; Click Close then OK
5. Make sure that "LOCAL SERVICE" and "NETWORK SERVICE" can "Generate security audits" under "Local Policies\User Rights Assignment"
- If ISA is a member of a Windows domain, one may have to assign this policy using Group Policy Editor for the Domain (At the Organizational Unit for example)
6. Once the above policy is applied, restart the 'Microsoft ISA Server Storage' service before going back into the ISA Management MMC.
