Hi, sorry if I'm posting this to the wrong forum! "[Wink]"

I've been installing ISA 2004 for the first time and have it running on a member server in our 2003 domain. It only has a single network card (I applied the Single Network Adapter template) and I'm basically hoping to use it as a proxy and to allow control of internet access to different groups of our users.

All was going well (or seemed to be anyway!) and I could see the effect of my Access Rule changes by adding or removing certain users from the applicable lists but now, seemingly all of a sudden, I get continual pop-ups requesting username/password. "[Mad]"

ISA itself has no problem seeing the list of users in the domain and happily allows me to add them to my various rules.

I'm basically just wondering if the Firewall Client is absolutely necessary to allow me to set rules within ISA denying internet access to some users and allowing it for others? As I said it seemed to have been working okay and then started all this prompting business!

Oh, and I don't know if it makes any difference but the server was originally stand-alone and was brought into the domain before the installation of ISA.
