Hi everyone
I was wondering about using RADIUS auth instead of usual Windows auth to control Access Rules for my company.
My point is: In all ISA2004 documentation RADIUS is mentioned only to control VPN dial-in connections. If my ISA2004 is not member of an AD forest, I thought RADIUS can be used to authenticate outgoing web requests... but I'm trying to do it and I just can't figure out the process (Radius is specifically designed for Dial-in connections and no other kind of connections)..

Can you please confirm me that RADIUS auth can ONLY be used by ISA2004 for VPN connections?

Hi Massimo,

Yes, you can use RADIUS auth for Web Proxy auth. We have that in the book.

HTH,
Tom

Thanks Tom but I just needed a tip not a new book ;-)

I think I've found the method to use Radius for WebProxy Auth.. The only things I can't find are:

1) When configuring access rules, in "Users" TAB, I select ADD/NEW, I see "New User Wizard", I click ADD/Radius/Specified User Name/ and I type MYDOMAIN\myuseraccount
is it right?

2) In my IAS Server, I think there is no futher configuration other than the simple creation of RADIUS Client. No Realms configuration is needed, isnt it?

Do you have to fill inn the domainname if you use radius? in domain\userid
If so, even if all users a a member of the same domain?

PS: i have ordered the book from the local dealer tonight..:-)
