Was a packet filter created to support the publication?

create protocal definition like this:

TCP
inbound
port: 59xx

xx is your display number
e.g. your display number is 0
must set to 5900

actually, turns out htat the problem was this:
the server running VNC, has the gateway entered(SNAT client), but was never rebooted (NT4 ).
Thus, it had no way to respond to the requests.
Now it works, without the protocol def. suggested by Songpol.
Thanks for advice!

btw, i honestly dont think VNC uses anything in the 95xx range..

Hi Anton,

Good to hear that you got it working, but I'm a little confused here! How did you publish the VNC server without a Protocol Defintition to support the Server Publishing rule?

Thanks!

Tom
