I keep getting an error 721 (Disconnected) when my users try to connect to our VPN. t seems that everything looks fine until it gets to authenticating user name and password the it stops. I have ports 1723 and 47 point to the ISA server. I have a new D-Link Cable/DSL VPN router could this be causing the trouble? I am only having problems getting the VPN to work, the SMTP and FTP are working just fine. My ISA rules have not changed, the VPN just stopped working one day last week and has not worked since???? Any help would be great.
ISA 2004 Windows Server 2003

Hi Brian,
I've had similar problems with the low end NAT devices in front of the ISA firewall. Some of them work much better than others. I've never had a problem when the ISA firewall was directly connected to the DSL line, though. Problem is that sometimes MTU can be an issue.
HTH, Tom
